I had the great honour of participating in this years Art's birthday celebration at CKLN in Toronto this year. 'twas great fun and had a hoot improvising with me & Barry Prophet in the booth and Sarah Peebles on MiniDisc & junk food and Eric Woodley with some records of speaches and stuff.

also was able to show off my Kazoo skills with an impromtu Happy B'Day song.

"Art's Birthday" is an annual event first proposed in 1963 by French artist Robert Filliou.

He suggested that 1,000,000 years ago, there was no art. But one day, on the 17th of January to be precise, Art was born. According to Filliou, it happened when someone dropped a dry sponge into a bucket of water.

Coming next: salon on January 21 and performances of Julia Sasso's The Betrayal Project at the end of January in Toronto.
